Statelessness has left the lives of over 10 million people in limbo.

The Invisible Currency by Airbnb reaches out to travellers all over the world to extend the feeling of belonging for those who are stateless.

Money changer booths allow travellers to change leftover currency from their travels into one that has no value because like its people, the Invisible Currency doesn’t exist.

The currency becomes a tool that helps highlight an issue to the surface, championing the existence of those who don’t belong anywhere.

The Invisible Currency was created for the New Blood Awards 2015 brief by Airbnb.
